Who We Are

ClearSky Climate Solutions, LLC (ClearSky) is a multidisciplinary organization with strong consulting experience over a wide range of natural resources issues. ClearSky staff have supported projects in over 40 countries throughout the world. Countries we have worked in are colored green in the above map. Our experts have assisted governments, communities, private companies and non-governmental organizations to implement projects financed by organizations such as the United Nations, USAID, GTZ, and the World Bank.
Keegan Eisenstadt is President and CEO of ClearSky Climate Solutions, LLC. He has over 17 years of international environmental consulting experience. He is actively involved in the design and implementation of climate change mitigation projects; carbon credit monitoring and accounting; marketing and sales of carbon credits; carbon credit project certification; climate change adaptation; carbon forestry; forest management; forest conservation planning; protected areas management; agroforestry extension; forest hydrology; watershed analysis, spatial and quantitative modeling; ecological and environmental impact assessment; environmental education; community outreach; organizational and rural development. Mr. Eisenstadt has a particular focus on climate change and forestry resources, and is currently developing novel techniques and approaches for native species reforestation and carbon sequestration as part of ClearSky. Other global climate change work includes corporate approaches to environmental and social responsibility through the reduction and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions; the implementation of certified emissions reduction and carbon-sequestration projects; national and international climate change policy assessment; and country adaptation strategies. He is working with actors involved with corporate social responsibility in promoting concepts of eco-efficiency and triple-bottom-line accounting, where corporations do well by doing good. Also, he has carried out natural resources management consulting activities throughout the world for private companies, multilateral and bilateral donor agencies, and nongovernmental organizations. Mr. Eisenstadt is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Guarani.
Molly White is a Project Developer with ClearSky. Molly completed her MS in Forest Ecology and Management at the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2005, with a climate change research focus. Ms. White’s skill set includes REDD consulting, carbon offset methodology assessment, GHG emissions reductions calculation, conducting industrial and ecosystem carbon budget analyses, implementing life-cycle inventory methodologies, and carrying out vegetation monitoring in a multitude of eco-types. Molly also has experience in project implementation, vegetation and company surveys, information collection and analysis, environmental paralegal support, database management, and presentation of project results. Ms. White has worked with a variety of federal, state, and non-governmental organizations, as well as local community groups and universities. Her broader interests lie in investigating the multitude of interactions between wilderness and economy, science and public policy, and education and positive change.
Lorie Baker is a Development Associate with ClearSky. She is completing her M.S. degree in the College of Forestry and Conservation- International Conservation and Development program at the University of Montana, Missoula. Ms. Baker’s research involves forest conservation and wildlife connectivity needs in the northwestern Argentine provinces of Salta and Jujuy. Lorie has worked with federal, state, and county governments conducting environmental review of projects for both the public and private sector, and has worked extensively with non-governmental organizations, local community groups, and universities in both the United States and Argentina. Lorie worked as a land use planner for county government in California for approximately five years where she reviewed projects for land development and provided guidance in the avoidance, minimization, and mitigation of environmental impacts related to agricultural infrastructure and rural residential development. Most recently Lorie acted as a university liaison assisting with international conservation programmatic development between the University of Montana and the Catholic University of Salta, Argentina. Ms. Baker just received a Fulbright-Hays award. The goal of this research is to gain support and technical resources necessary to advance implementation of a forest conservation plan involving approximately 16,700 km² of mostly private land located along the region's deforestation frontier ― including investigating the prospects for launching a REDD+ project in this area. Ms. Baker is proficient in ESRI ArcGIS analysis as well as written and spoken Spanish.
Aleta Jokisch is an intern with ClearSky. She is currently an Ecology & Organismal Biology major and Climate Change Studies minor in her third year at the University of Montana. Aleta is the Vice President of Climate Action Now (CAN), a UM student group dedicated to confronting environmental issues at the University, community and state levels. As a student of both science and nature, she is most interested in hands-on solutions, fieldwork and experiential learning. As a former ASUM student senator, current Sustainable Campus Committee member and student group leader, she is interested in building relationships within the University and working toward tangible sustainability measures. Specifically, this means affecting policy with student support, implementing the Climate Action Plan as laid out by the University and incorporating ClearSky’s knowledge of carbon offsetting into both of these goals.
